ettitude is not only about selling products with low impact on mother earth, we also love to support meaningful projects, large & small, that have a positive impact on our society! Through sample sales, fundraising and simply giving away some of our profit we have great pleasure offering our support where we can.
Our first project is to help raising funds for Oncology Children’s Foundation (OCF) for research into childhood cancers with the lowest survival rates such as Brain Tumors and Neuroblastoma. Almost half of children with these cancers do not survive their battle.
Researchers funded by OCF have developed a new drug that targets an area of the cancer cell skeleton that is crucial for cell movement and growth in Neuroblastoma, which kill Neuroblastoma cells very effectively. What’s more, this drug has also been proven to be as effective against Melanoma (skin cancer) cells as it is against Neuroblastoma and the program is now in a position to take this new drug to clinical trial. This will be a world first and in time it has the potential to have a profound impact on outcomes for all cancer patients
Donations raised from this project will help take OCF’s Drug Discovery Program to clinical trial and help give all kids with cancer the opportunity to grow up and live their dreams!
